Rangers signed outfielder Andruw Jones to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
It's not at all likely that Jones will win a starting job coming out of spring training, but he might well prove to be one of the Rangers' top three outfielders and his addition could eventually allow the team to slide Josh Hamilton to right field. He should be watched closely next month.
Rumor has it the Rangers felt better about the signing after seeing Jones at a private workout in which he did several running drills for the team. We managed to get a pic from the workouts........OH.......wait that's not AJ........he has more of a tan than that.
