#1 Free agent of intrest?
Casey Hampton is looking to be offseason priority #1 for the Texans. Being a local product from Galveston and having played college ball and UT, Hampton could be a perfect fit for the Texans at NT. Only problem, Steelers have said thier #1 offseason priority will be resigning Hampton as well. Hampton may not be real happy with the Steelers as he has been asking to be resigned for some time now. We will have to wait and see how this one pans out. The rumored number for him if he was franchised is @ $6 million per, but Pittsburgh has promised not to tag him.
Owen Daniels will he be back?
In my opinion it all depends on the trade market for him. If the Texans can get good value in return for Daniels I for one do not expect him back. Two teams to watch would be New England with the #22 over all and three 2nd round picks could be a fit, Kansas City which could send the Texans picks #36, #50 & #68 along with the rights to sign Jarrad Page FS for Owen Daniels TE and picks #51 & #81. The biggest problem I forsee with the Kansas City trade is that it would have to be agreed upon before the draft, but it would be a great deal for both teams.
The eyes of Texas are upon you?
IMO Earl Thomas FS/CB will be the Texans first round pick if available when they select. Given his ability to play CB and FS Thomas would be a great addition to the Texans secondary. Combine that with the fact that his best football has yet to come and Thomas just makes all to much sense for us to pass up.
